Hi,
Have 3 days off work so I thought I 'd take part in this fun challenge! I don't have a whole lot of PTI dyes, and I have discovered that several that I do own are joined together, like many of the flower and leaf dyes. The biggest challenge was choosing a dye where the flowers were at least oriented in the same direction.
So here it is, using Rosie Posie. As usual, this was fun and whenever I partake in these challenges, I always think, why don't I do these every week? Guess it's that little TIME thing.
Cheers,
Val

Papertrey April Blog Hop Challenge
Hi,
I really like this month's inspiration photo. I decided to use the colors, the fabric images as in dots, damask and flowers and also the general layout of the photo, as in separate horizontal strips represented by each fabric piece. So my first step with this card was stamping and cutting strips, but as I was adhering the strips to the bottom of the card, I became attached to the white space at the card's upper portion and was unable to cover it up, so now I have more strips for another card! And since some of the fabric has a flowery pattern, I went with Rosie Posie as the focal point, stamped my sentiment right on the middle strip, and voila! I look forward to seeing other takes on this.
Have a grand day,
Val

Make It Monday #61
Hi,
What a fun challenge on the Papertrey ink website posted HERE...I do not have many non-flower dies, but since I received the Rosie Posie stamp set and dies I knew their interesting shapes had other possibilities. To make my flower, I cut the lower left leaf of the main stem and fashioned 8 of these cuts in a circle, and then placed a circle image also from Rosie Posie at the middle to create the centre of the flower. The leaves are from Turning a New Leaf. Next a sentiment was stamped, and the white panel was placed on Berry Sorbet cardstock. Such fun

March Blog Hop @ Papertrey Ink
Hello,
It has been so long since I posted I had to look up my email and password to access my blog. I think I need to have a reasonable plan, like one post per week, so at least I maintain some sort of presence here in Blogland. In between skiing (now over) and working (not over for a long time!) I did make a few cards, but I really don't know why I can't seem to get around to post them. Does that ever happen to anyone else out there? Anyway, I set a goal to participate in this month's blog hop @ PTI, with their challenge posted HERE. Have a wonderful day, can't wait to see everyone's creations!
Cheers
Val
PS. I seem to spend more time looking online than creating, this must change!
